Community Involvement & Foundation
One of Home Savings’ greatest strengths continues to be its level of community involvement. Home Savings employees are encouraged to become active members of civic groups, economic development programs, educational projects and urban revitalization efforts. Home Savings supports these efforts and our communities through a charitable foundation established in 1991 to enable the company to support charitable causes in the community. Today, the Foundation focuses contributions in the areas of education, economic development, health care and disadvantaged children and adults. Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed nearly $16 million dollars to non-profit organizations throughout Home Savings’ market areas.

Home Savings Insurance Group
In February of 2016, Home Savings formed the Home Savings Insurance Group with the acquisition of James & Sons, a well-respected local insurance agency that has been serving the Mahoning Valley since 1921. The insurance group was expanded in March, 2017 when Eich Bros. Insurance joined the Home Savings Insurance Group and again in July 2017 when Home Savings acquired the Chuck Stevens Property and Casualty Insurance business.
